Choosing a Good Web Designer
* Contact people whose sites impress you most. Ask who designed them and whether they would choose the same person or firm again.
* On sites that impress you most, look around for the name of the web designer. Though it isn't always there (some people design their own sites or don't want the web designer's details included) it will at least give you some information to work from.
* Stick to an established company, not a one-person business which may be very good, but then again might be exactly like the person I got to design my first web site. Very pricey, totally useless! Find suitable companies advertising in Internet and computer magazines.
* Ask searching questions about experience, qualifications, back up and after-sales service before making a choice.
